Dr. Bordelon is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology and participates regularly in the board's recertification process. A graduate of Tulane University in 1974, he attended the Tulane School of Medicine. His post graduate training included surgical residency at the University of Virginia Hospital followed by a urology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Bordelon is affiliated with Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital and Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, and as a consultant for the Amarillo V.A. Medical Center. He is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Urological Association (AUA), the South-Central Section of the AUA, and the Texas Medical Association.
